Heller, Huron, Chertkof & Salzman, PLLC is a widely-recognized boutique firm focused on individual representation in civil rights and employment matters. Founded in 1997 by highly experienced employment lawyers, the firm has been a leader in setting major precedents in employment and civil rights law.

Meet Our Attorneys

Stephen Z. Chertkof

Stephen Chertkof is a 1988 graduate of Yale Law School, and also holds a degree in Computer Science and Economics. He is listed in the Washington, D.C. edition of "Superlawyers" in the category of civil rights litigator, and in Washingtonian Magazine as one of the top lawyers handling civil rights cases.

Richard A. Salzman

Richard Salzman is a 1988 honors graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center. He has successfully argued before the Supreme Court in a discrimination case against a U.S. Senator which raised a constitutional issue of first impression. He has been listed as one of the country's best lawyers by various publications.

Sharon Rogart

Sharon Rogart is a 2018 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, and joined Heller Huron in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, she was an executive editor for the Journal of Law and Politics, a law clerk involved in litigating medical malpractice cases, and interned at the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
